Bob Andersen for Legislature

November 9, 1989,

...is a date that I will never forget. On that date I was a Staff Sergeant serving in the United States Air Force, and I was stationed in West Berlin, in the Federal Republic of Germany. That is the day the Berlin Wall came tumbling down, and I was fortunate to not only be a witness to history, but a participant.

Our life’s experiences help shape how we view the world, and they influence how we will lead. What I witnessed that night were families long separated coming together. I witnessed the triumph of freedom over oppression and tyranny. I witnessed the fruits of solid, conservative policies made by President Ronald Reagan defeat socialism without a shot fired. I witnessed the results of American exceptionalism change the world. I am running to serve in the Nebraska Legislature, because I still believe that we can lead the world. America is still the shining city on the hill, and Nebraska – our children, our citizens, and our elected leaders – should be leading the way.

My campaign is going to be about what I am FOR, not what we are against. I believe we have far more in common than things that we don’t. I am convinced that many of our elected leaders have lost sight of sharing a positive vision for the convenience of highlighting what divides us. I have spent my lifetime serving our Republic and defending freedom. Now, I want to serve you in the Nebraska Legislature. Thank you for taking the time to visit my website!

Sincerely,

SARPY VALUES
